The
tiny back-overturning tank, brand Officine Pilla s.n.c., is
designed and realized for collecting and transporting
refuses both in little towns and in areas difficult to get
to.
About 5 m3 in capacity, the box is studied to
permit to pour off wastes into selfcompactators and or base
stations. The very thick box is entirely made of steel Fe
430 plate, 2 mm in thickness. It is reinforced through
pressed-bended plates and a steel Fe430 tubular tyre, 3mm in
thickness, set on the on the slide as well as on the bottom
of the tank.
Officine Pilla snc ensures the structure through a complete
and continuous watertight electro soldering.
The front wall of the tank is elevated compared to sidewalls
in order to protect the cab.
A manual opening of the door is on the right-hand side of
the tank. It is provided with hinges, wheel clamps and
rubber leaf. That door allows the manual loading of wastes
held in bags.
The 3mm in thickness false frame is made of steel Fe 430
plate. It is provided with 4mm in thickness columns hinging
the tank, made of steel Fe 360 plate.
The lifting tank system works through two hydraulic
jacks
with three extensions. They allow the overturning of the box
with about 90° tilt, in order to be able to pour off all
wastes into self-compactators provided with universal mouth
or the dumping free ones.
Lifting device is driven by a mechanical power take off
provided with gears. Start lever of the power take off is
set inside the driver’s cab with its own warning light.
Two hydraulic jacks work as stabilizers, with a double
effect. They guarantee security while the operators are
dumping.
Operators can activate them automatically before starting to
raise the tank and jacks always restart automatically to
lower the tank.
The loading of wastes works manually through a door that can
be laterally opened. It also works through a tool in charge
of overturning containers, which is composed by little racks
for 120/240/360- litre sheet bars and hitching up forks, DIN
30700 connections for 660/1100-litre containers.
To be able to work, the device uses four rotation points,
which allow to place the container vertically till when they
unload all contents into the tank without scattering waste
products out of it. That makes the device very effective in
the collection of “dampness”.
Tank painting and false frame are made taking down
additional components with several stages: skimming,
cleaning, plates sealing, application of epoxy rust-proof
bottom and enamel with two components of polyurethane. Every
steel component is dried in the stove.
